Our company Ariadne Pure Products is named after the Cretan princess, daughter of King Minos of Crete, who according to Greek mythology, helped Theseus defeat the Minotaur by providing him with a sword and a ball of thread so that he could retrace his way out of the Minotaur’s labyrinth (maze).

It comes as no surprise then that we decided to name our heirloom olive oil Cretan Labyrinth. Much like Ariadne helped Theseus find his way out from the Labyrinth, we too feel that by introducing the world to the foods that have nourished our family for generations, we help our customers escape the modern day labyrinth of food products of dubious quality and origin.

Every batch of EVOO that we offer is meticulously tested for nutritional and sensory defects, and the results are documented in a lab certificate. Free acidity is always below 0.5% at the time of bottling (occasionally under 0.3%), phenolic content is always above 500 mg/kg at the time of bottling and both oils are GMO-free and ideally suited for a vegan, vegetarian, keto and paleo diet.
